Great sight with a Tweak

The large adjustment knob had the machined screw sticking out so far that I could not use a coin to snug it. The smaller knob (on the right) had the screw length correct, such that I could use a coin to snug. This right knob isn't meant to turn once adjusted, as it has a set screw to keep it in place, so there is an easy return to zero when removed and reinstalled.

So, I basically had to grind off about 8 threads of length on the screw end for the large knob. So, now I can use a coin to tighten the large knob (left), and the screw isn't sticking beyond that slot from within, like it was before. I also ended up repositioning the screw position within the sight, and ya, had it apart several times tuning all of this.

I did purchase the tall front sight with this, so I have enough height on the front post. Also purchased the largest ghost ring, and it's the cat's meow for quick target aquisition.

So, I had to ding the sight one star, 4 vs 5 for me, as I prob spent a couple of hours tuning it. It is one heck of a solid machined set of sights.

Pretty happy.
Amazing option for guide gun

I will start by saying I’ve not yet been able to zero yet other than bore sighting but this is a great addition to my Ruger guide gun for hunting where I live. Too wooded for a scope and used as much for defense as hunting. My only wish is that the main body came in bead blasted stainless to better match the rifle but it’s a tool not a show piece so I’m happy
High Praise

I have used this site for a 416 Alaskan and 7mm Mauser International. In both instances, precision was acceptable, but vastly improved with the addition of a patridge blade foresight. The brass post enhances precision compared to any bead (and I have tried white, fiberoptic, and brass). It is a disadvantage to try to keep up with the peep if removed for a QD optic placement, but return to zero is excellent so switching back and forth is no problem. If you enjoy iron sights, this will make your day.
Outstanding Customer Service

My 53-year-old Ruger M-77 flat bolt handle rifle presented a clearance problem with my first choice, the N-100 model. NECG exchanged it with a modified N-100G sight which I am very well pleased with. Thank you Mark for guiding me through the process.
